Tumbled stones are pieces of rock and different minerals that have been tumbled to produce smooth rounded and highly polished stones. The process begins by placing rough stones of a similar size into a rock tumbler. The barrel is then filled with water, sand, coarse grit and various polishing agents to create a smooth surface on the polished gemstone.

Tumbled stones can be used in many ways - lucky stones, vase filler, decorations, ground cover, accents in potted plants, game markers, making jewelry and much more..

Tiger's Eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock with a golden to red-brown color and a silky luster and is a popular mineral used primarily for decorative purposes.  This fine-grade gemstone can be exceptionally chatoyant. A rock or mineral that is chatoyant exhibits an optical phenomenon that's caused as light reflects off microscopic fibers below the surface of the stone. The reflection creates a narrow parallel band of light that imparts a silky sheen. As the Tiger's Eye is gently moved the band of light also moves which can give the impression colors or patterns are moving.

These tumbled stones are sold in 1LB bags and come in two sizes, medium which measures approximately 3/4" and large which measures approximately 1".  We also sell this as 1 individual tumbled stone.
