Locally sourced Aspen wood from Colorado and hand made in our wood craft studio in Black Forest, Colorado, these hand-peeled Aspen Poles are each unique and one-of-a-kind!

Unlike most commercially available wood poles that are peeled mechanically or come from peeler cores, our hand-peeled Colorado Aspen Poles and logs produce a more natural looking product.  

Aspen Trees make excellent poles!  These poles tend to be long, narrow and straight with very little taper.   They also have small knots and, in some cases, none at all because of self pruning.   Aspen trees also tend to grow more slowly and have tight rings and this produces more dense and stronger wood.

Hand-peeled poles are very decorative and when the bark is peeled off and the bare wood is exposed, the poles are more beautiful and will last longer - even if used outdoors.   Our Hand-Peeled Aspen poles are air-dried to provide a consistent and dependable product.
